Playing Our Cards Right: Ace Places Recognised For Being Green!

We’re incredibly excited to share that Ace Places Playing Cards has been named a finalist in Small Business Britain’s Green Growth Awards.

This national competition, launched in partnership with BT, celebrates small businesses that are leading the way in sustainability while driving innovation and growth.

At Ace Places, we’ve always believed that great businesses can do great things for their communities. That’s why:

♠ All our cards are printed in the UK, reducing carbon emissions and supporting local businesses.

♥ We use FSC-approved, vegan-friendly printing processes to keep our environmental impact low.

♦ Lost or damaged cards? No problem! We offer replacements in exchange for a small donation to charity, cutting down on waste.

♣ Every pack gives back. 25p from each sale is donated to a local grassroots charity—because giving back should always be part of the game.

To celebrate the occasion, we had a fun photoshoot with Bob the Jack Russell, a Henley local, getting his paws on a Henley Playing cards box. The idea of replacing lost or damaged cards started when a customer told us their Cocker Spaniel had eaten the card box! Instead of just sending a new one, we turned it into another way to support our charity partners.

The winners will be announced on March 11, 2025, at BT’s London HQ. Two small businesses will receive a £5,000 sustainability grant to take their green initiatives even further.
