It’s early days — but here’s who I imagine running Ace Places in new towns ♣️
I’ll be honest — Ace Places is still in its early chapters. We’ve proven the idea works in Henley and Marlow, but as we grow, I’m now figuring out what the next stage looks like: finding brilliant people to run their own packs in their towns.
I don’t yet know exactly who tends to make the perfect fit — but here’s who I think might…
1. The Marketing Professional (Ready to Build Your Own Brand)
You’re brilliant at making other people shine. You’ve spent years driving campaigns, managing brands, or creating content — but the big decisions (and profits) sit elsewhere.
Ace Places could be your chance to step into the spotlight yourself. You’d use your marketing, networking, and storytelling skills to champion your town, curating a deck that celebrates local life.
Think of it as becoming Creative Director of your hometown — but with total freedom and purpose built in.
2. The Corporate Escapist (Craving Meaning and Autonomy)
Maybe you’ve had enough of long meetings, targets, and that feeling that your work doesn’t make much real-world difference.
Ace Places offers something simpler and more joyful — running a creative, local business that connects people, supports independents, and makes your town proud. You decide how big you grow, when you work, and what your version of success looks like.
It’s meaningful work you can see and feel.
3. The Parent or Career-Returner (Looking for Flexibility and Purpose)
You want something that fits around life, not the other way round.
Ace Places can be built from home, on your laptop and phone, and grown at your own pace. It’s creative, community-minded, and flexible enough to work around school runs or nap times — while still giving you something that’s fully your own.
It’s a way to build a business that makes a difference and makes sense for your lifestyle.
Shaping Ace Places Together
Because this is still a young, growing idea, everyone who joins at this stage will help shape what comes next.
Each new leader of the pack will have a real say in how we grow — sitting on our informal board to share ideas, guide decisions, and make sure the business stays true to its heart.
If you’re community-minded, creative, and up for helping write the next chapter of Ace Places, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to email emma@aceplaces.co.uk and I'll share a little more info about what to expect. There's no obligation but if you're curious, please get in touch - it might just change your life!
